Abby M Lankhorst, MD

Abby M. Lankhorst, M.D., is an obstetrician/gynecologist with Norton Women’s Care. Dr. Lankhorst earned her medical degree and completed her OB/GYN residency at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her internship in pediatrics at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha. She also holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Illinois. Dr. Lankhorst has experience with high-risk pregnancy care as well as trauma-informed mental health care in the gynecologic and obstetric settings. She sees women of all ages, from early teen years to later years with a focus on reproductive health, gynecologic health and mental health. Her patient philosophy is to meet patients where they are and to explore the types of options available for care as well as what the patient prefers, which may be preventive care, evidence-based medical interventions, or noninvasive or nonmedical approaches. She considers each patient with an appreciation for mental health and uses trauma-informed approaches to care. Outside of work, Dr. Lankhorst is an avid runner, skier, triathlete, climber and doer of anything outdoors. She enjoys spending time with her three dogs and traveling internationally with her husband.
