Peter L. Albrecht Jr., D.O., is a vascular surgeon with Norton Heart & Vascular Institute. He earned his medical degree from University of Pikeville – Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and a vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Kentucky, Lexington. Dr. Albrecht is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with conditions affecting the arteries and veins. He specializes in minimally invasive and advanced endovascular techniques for the treatment of complex aortic aneurysms and peripheral vascular disease, with a strong emphasis on limb preservation and stroke prevention. His clinical interests include treating carotid artery stenosis and using innovative methods such as parallel grafting, laser fenestration and physician-modified grafting for complex aortic repair. He is certified as a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI) and board-eligible in vascular surgery. Dr. Albrecht’s patient care philosophy centers on helping individuals understand surgical and nonsurgical options so they can make informed, confident decisions. He prioritizes communication and trust, ensuring patients and their families feel supported through every step of care. Outside of medicine, Dr. Albrecht enjoys traveling with his wife, exploring new restaurants, cooking, golfing and attending live music events.
