Alaina Sewell, APRN, FNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in endocrinology. She earned her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Alaina is passionate about treating disorders of the endocrine system. She previously worked in primary care, and is excited to work more within the endocrinology field. She prefers an approach to patient care that focuses on the person as a whole, not just treating symptoms. Her philosophy of care is to treat each person with compassion and respect. Alaina’s goal is for every patient to understand every part of their care — their health conditions, the medicines they take and why, and how they can empower themselves to live healthier, happier lives. She believes that wellness and prevention practices can greatly help in the treatment of chronic diseases. Personally, Alaina enjoys health and fitness activities, and spending time with her two young boys, family and friends.
