Chad E Smith, MD

Chad E. Smith, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Norton Orthopedic Institute and Norton Sports Health. Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Ohio, and a sports medicine fellowship at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Smith treats patients of all ages and activity levels, providing comprehensive, quality care through a variety of surgical and nonsurgical treatment options. He has advanced training and expertise in arthroscopic management of the knee and shoulder and performs robotic-assisted knee replacement surgery. Dr. Smith serves as a team physician for several major local universities and has treated high school athletes in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky for over 15 years. Dr. Smith grew up in Oldham County, Kentucky, just outside of Louisville.
