Aurelia C. Holland Wood, M.D., is a pediatric endocrinologist with Norton Children's Endocrinology, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine. Dr. Holland Wood earned her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her residency in ambulatory pediatrics at Norton Children's Hospital, and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Holland Wood is committed to advancing health services in Type 1 diabetes, promoting health care equity and leading community-rooted efforts to improve chronic disease care. Her clinical practice emphasizes the importance of creating a collaborative team involving the patient, family and medical professionals, all grounded in mutual trust, respect and shared decision-making to ensure safe, evidence-based care. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, being outdoors hiking, and spending time with her husband and the rest of their family.
