She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Sacred Heart and her master’s degree in nursing from South University in Savannah, Georgia. Her extensive medical background includes a medical degree from Efrain Benitez Popa School of Medicine in Cuba and experience practicing medicine in Cuba and Venezuela. She pursued a career in nursing after relocating to United States.
